Crime Report: Two Arrests, Incidents of Harassment, Criminal Mischief
A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.
The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Arrests
- On July 24, Celio Ortega from Port Jefferson was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
- Blue Point resident Scott Hall was arrested on July 26 in Blue Point on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance: cocaine.
Incidents

- An incident of harassment on Barrett Avenue in Bayport was reported to police on July 24 at 9 p.m.
- On July 24, police were alerted of an incident of harassment on Imperial Way in Bayport at 2 p.m.
- Two more incidents of harassment were reported to police on July 24 on Atlantic and Eatondale Avenues in Blue Point at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m.
- Sylvan Avenue Elementary School employees in Bayport notified police of an incident of criminal mischief on July 25 at 5 p.m.
