Crime Report: Two Arrests, Four Incidents

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions. 

Arrests

  • Colleen Herbs from Medford was arrested in Bayport on a charge of driving while intoxicated on Aug. 30.
  • Farmingville resident Daniel Salemmo was arrested in Blue Point on a charge of harassment on Aug. 30.

Incidents

  • On Aug. 29, Oakwood Avenue residents in Bayport reported an incident of grand larceny to police at midnight.
  • Police were notified of an incident of harassment on Montauk Highway in Blue Point on Aug. 30 around 4 p.m.
  • An incident of criminal mischief on Barrett Avenue in Bayport was reported to police at 6 p.m. on Sept. 2.
  • Police were alerted to another incident of criminal mischief on Barrett Avenue in Bayport near 8 p.m. on Sept. 2.
