Crime Report: Three Arrests, One Incident

A list of recent police activity in Bayport and Blue Point as reported by the 5th Precinct.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incidents list regarding Bayport-Blue Point. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions. 

Arrests

  • On July 20, Melissa Lewis from Mastic was arrested in Bayport on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
  • Blue Point resident Michael Hackett was arrested in Sayville on a charge of criminal contempt on July 22.
  • Javon McLean from Bay Shore was arrested in Bayport on July 23 on a charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.

  • Police were notified of an incident of criminal mischief on Renee Drive in Bayport on July 23 when a resident's windshield was smashed just after midnight.
