Sayville Capital One Robbed

Police are seeking the public's help in finding the suspect in Monday's incident.

Suffolk County Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Monday afternoon in Sayville.

According to police, a man entered Capital One at 160 Main Street and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the suspect fled the bank on foot. He was last seen heading west on Main Street.

The incident took place at 3:40 p.m.

Police describe the suspect as a white male with a thin to medium build, between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 8 inches in height. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt, shorts, knee-high socks, dark sunglasses and a fedora-style hat.

Police are asking any with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
