OPERA AND BEYOND

The Sayville Young People's Opera Workshop (SYPOW) will present their
18th annual summer showcase "OPERA AND BEYOND" the evenings of Thursday
August 15 and Friday August 16 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the
air-conditioned David M Jones auditorium at the Sayville Middle School,
291 Johnson Avenue, Sayville, NY.  This year's presentation will include
choruses, solos and arias, duets, trios, and ensemble performances from
such operas, operettas and musical theatre pieces as Cavalleria
Rusticana, La Boheme, Carmen, Lakme, Turandot, HMS Pinafore, New Moon,
Phantom of the Opera, Secret Garden, Wicked, Carousel, South Pacific,
Oliver and Little Shop of Horrors.  There is no admission charge.  For
