Business Spotlight: New Tea Bar Arrives in West Sayville

The tea store opens in former location of American Cheese on Montauk Highway.

West Sayville is home to a new business, The Pleasures of Tea & Infuse Tea Bar, which will open its doors this weekend for a soft launch and hold a grand opening the last weekend in August.

Here’s a quick peek at the new business.

Owner: Kristine Henderson

Former Location/Background: The store is a tea educator through tastings and seminars, retailer of specialty loose leaf teas and tisanes, tea ware, accessories.  The business sold goods at local markets and events, such as Sayville Summerfest, throughout Long Island for the past six years.

Why West Sayville: Always loved the Sayville area and the owner currently lives in Bohemia

Product Line: Over 200 specialty loose leaf teas & herbal tisanes, tea ware, accessories, artisanal honeys from around the world. Serving hot and iced teas, matcha, matcha lattes and other tea beverages, French pastries, Japanese confections (Mochi ice cream, Daifuku Mochi), scones, cheese plates, and other accompaniments to tea. Also offering educational tea tasting workshops.

Hours: Monday 11-7, Tuesday 11-7, Wednesday closed, Thursday 11-7, Friday 11-7, Saturday 10-6, Sunday 11-4. (These hours are to start, but may change based on customer feedback).
