Although Our Lady of the Snow was established in the early 1900s, the church was not built until 1917. It was a…More mission church of St. Francis de Sales until 1920, when the Diocese of Brooklyn created a parish of Our Lady of the Snow with the appointment of Fr. Charles A. Craig as pastor. The rectory was completed in Blue Point in 1921. In addition to approximately six masses weekly (less in the summer), Our Lady of the Snow provides parishioners with the opportunity to become involved in the numerous ministries and organizations they have available, such as Adult Bible Sharing and the Ecumenical Committee. The only church in Bayport, the Bayport United Methodist Church is located at the intersection of Snedecor Avenue and…More Middle Road. Several organizations, including the Boy and Girl Scouts, Bayport Civic Association and Alcoholics Anonymous, hold meetings here. Bayport United Methodist Church hosts youth nights on Wednesdays and offers numerous other services and programs for both children and adults.</p> <p>Worship services are held every Sunday at 9:45am; Sunday school also takes place at 9:45am.</p>
