Town Board Meetings, Civil Service Careers Talk, Teen Movie Night on Tap

Bayport Civic meets Tuesday and there's a creative writing workshop.

With just under two weeks until the Thanksgiving holiday there are a slew of events, programs and meetings happening around town this week.

The Week’s Weather

First off, the weather promises to be a mixed event as today’s expected warmer temps in the 60s will fade quick and drop to the 40s by Tuesday and Wednesday, but the good news is the sun will be accompanying the colder weather.

Town of Islip Meetings

On the Islip Town meeting front, there are several meetings happening:  the Islip Town Board will meet Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. and the Islip Town Zoning Board will meet that same day, at 6:30 p.m. at town hall.

The Town of Islip Planning Board, under the direction of new planning commissioner Rich Zapolski, will hold a meeting Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. On Thursday, Nov. 21 there will be a Islip Town change of zone board meeting at 7:30 p.m.
