Spa for a Cure

Polished Skincare Lounge in Bayport held their first Annual "Spa for a Cure" to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.

Polished co-owners Lisa and John Jaconi held a fundraiser at their skincare lounge in Bayport on Saturday to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the society, on behalf of which Lisa will participate in a cycling event on Sept. 18 in Moab, Utah.

In addition to the vendors who sold purses, jewelry and more to benefit the cause, the Polished staff donated their time, as the skincare lounge offered 50 percent off on a variety of treatments for the duration of the day.

Jaconi is one of the more than 40,000 runners, walkers, cyclists, hikers and triathletes who will participate in the world's major marathons, triathlons, hiking adventures and century rides this year on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
