Prize Donations Needed for Chamber Installation Event

Annual fundraiser dinner will be held at Blue restaurant in Blue Point and starts at 6:30 p.m.

The Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce is still welcoming donations for its door prize table at its installation dinner Wednesday being held at Blue restaurant in Blue Point.

The group will swear in its new board and say goodbye to long-time chamber members and co-chairs of the membership committee, Gene Horton and Ed Reilly. Tickets are $55 and payable at the door when the event kicks off at 6:30 p.m.

The chamber is also urging local residents and fellow shop keepers and business owners to support local businesses striving to win grants offered by the Mission Small Business website. It's easy to vote: just visit the site and click support and you can type in "Bayport Sign Solutions" and cast a vote. There are also several Sayville businesses vying for the grants.
