Presenter: Bobby & Cathy Horvath, Wildlife In Need of Rescue & Rehabilitation (WINORR)

Program Details: Join Bobby & Cathy Horvath and learn what it takes to be a wildlife rehabilitator. Animals they rescued but were deemed unreleasable due to their injuries are now WINORR educational ambassadors. Meet some of these creatures, such as Augie the Eurasian Eagle-Owl and Gryphon the American Kestrel, and hear their amazing stories!

TRAVEL DIRECTIONS TO BROOKSIDE: 59 Brook Street, Sayville, NY
From Western/Eastern Long Island: Sunrise Highway to Exit 49, Lakeland Ave, South. Turn right onto Tariff St. and take the first left onto Greeley Ave. Take the second right onto Brook St. Brookside County Park will be on your right. If you pass the Sayville High School, you’ve gone too far. There is limited parking at Brookside Park; so please park out front on Brook Street where permitted or in high school parking lot across the street.

Guided Tours of Brookside - Given every Wednesday and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. See our headquarters, walk the Nature Trail, and become acquainted with the history of the site. We are located at 59 Brook Street, Sayville, diagonally across the street from the high school.
