Corey Beach Clean Up
Patchogue-Medford High School Key Club recently provided the community with a service when they cleaned up Corey Beach.
A clean up of Corey Beach in Blue Point was organized by Patchogue-Medford High School's Key Club on Sunday. Armed with garbage bags and gloves, the students spent over an hour combing the beach for trash. The students cleaned up glass, food wrappers, soda bottles and cigarette butts that were left in the sand. While pollution is not normally a problem at Corey Beach, the students did fill several trash bags worth of garbage.
"It's good for the community. We love to be able to give back" said student Krista D'Ambrosio.
