Bayport Girl Scouts Plant a Special Message to Their Community

In celebration of International Peace Day three B-BP students made dozens of pinwheels calling for world peace.

A Bayport-Blue Point High School student walks the sidewalk toward school Friday morning which was decorated with a  long line of pinwheels depicting a peaceful and gentle call for world peace. The symbolic effort was the work of Katherine Schuster, Lydia Russo and Theresa Hearney, all Girl Scouts, according to district officials and is the first time a pinwheel for peace effort has been done in the district.
