A Taste-a-Thon Fundraiser Happening Tonight in Sayville
Foodies will love this charitable effort that has great support from community eateries.
The Pilot Club of Sayville is hosting a unique fundraiser this evening at the VFW Hall on Lakeland Avenue to benefit the Project Life Saver organization.
The event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., features donated food from a slew of local restaurants including American Cheese, Sal's Pizzeria & Catering, Sayville Inn, bistro 25, Crickets, Jeanine’s Cool Cupcakes & Cakery, fusion 84, la Tavola, Parkville Plaza Gourmet Delicatessen, Sayville Modern Diner, Sayville Sandwich, 3 Generations Deli, Marc Anthony Pizzeria, Cull House and the Sayville and Holbrook Stop & Shop stores.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for children under 12.

Project Life Saver helps law enforcement and rescue agencies with locating lost or missing persons who wander away from living settings because of cognitive disabilities. Patients wear a battery operated transmitter bracelet that provides an automatic tracking signal.
