Suffolk Police Athletic League Hosting Youth Fishing Trips

Fishing voyages will take up to 50 children out for a day on the bay.

The Suffolk County Police Athletic League will be hosting fishing trips for children out on the Great South Bay starting this Wednesday.

The fishing trips will leave from Babylon's Captree Boat Basin started  this Wednesday, July 10, at 10 a.m. Trips will last to 2 p.m.

The outings will continue every week until August 28.

The children will be supervised by both officers from the PAL and the crew of the host fishing vessel, Taryn-Ann. Trips will allow 50 children per voyage and a limit of two per child this summer.

A permission slip, attached to this story, must be submitted and approved one week before the chosen date.

Trips will cost $15 per child and includes poles, bait and cleaning of any fish caught.
