Mosquito Spraying in Davis Park, Point O'Woods Tuesday Night

The vector control activity will happen between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

The battle against the mighty mosquito on the barrier beach continues this week with Suffolk County vector teams planning to spray Davis Park and Point O’Woods on Fire Island on Tuesday night.

The Suffolk County Department of Public Works will conduct ground spraying of all streets in the two villages using Anvil (sumithrin) between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. in an effort to keep down the blood-sucking population.

For current and future notices and/or further information residents can call vector control at 631-852-4270 or the Spraying Information Hotline 631-852-4939.
