The Parrot Bar on Montauk Highway in Bayport is hosting a fundraiser in honor of Casey Patrick Farrell, a Blue Point native who passed away this past April.

A graduate of Bayport-Blue Point High School, Farrell attended Geneseo, majoring in theater and graduating in 2004. His family and friends have launched a memorial award in his honor at Geneseo.

He worked as an apprentice of IATSE Local 1 at the Little Shubert Theatre and the
New Victory Theatre. He became the Master Electrician as well as Assistant Master
Technician, where he ran the lights and helped design the lighting for many of the
productions that played there.

He leaves behind his parents Michael and Julia, a sister, Shea, and a beloved
fiance, Lauren, as well as too many family members, friends and colleagues to
count. Casey was deeply loved. Please help create a lasting legacy in his
honor.

The memorial award in Casey's honor at SUNY Geneseo will establish a permanent award for excellence in technical theatre to be given annually to a graduating senior.
