After the Storm: Quick Teardown of Parrot Land; Limbs Left in Wake

The powerful storm that hit the West Sayville to Blue Point communities obviously hit harder in some areas and had workers scrambling to strip down Margaritaville event setup.

A tour around Sayville and West Sayville late Friday didn't reveal too much physical damage from the day's stormy weather. The lot slated for Parrot Land fun (the parking spaces behind South Main Street) and site of the annual Margaritaville event, was clearly stripped down quick, with saw horses dismantled, portable toilets gone and just portable sinks left in the wake. There were a few mid-sized limbs already sawed up that had apparently fallen in the lot during the storm.

There was only one small power outage of less than five homes reported by LIPA.
