Varsity Field Hockey Takes Small Schools Championship

Sayville falls to Garden City on Saturday in Long Island Championship.

The Sayville girls varsity field hockey team won the Suffolk County Class "B" Championship. Last Thursday, the team beat Babylon 5-0 for the title of Suffolk Small Schools Champ. At the Long Island Championship this past Saturday, the Golden Flashes took on seven-time Long Island Champions Garden City at Stony Brook University. Despite their 2-1 loss in the last three minutes of the game, they played a great game.
