Thoden Receives Collegiate Lacrosse Honors
B-BP HS graduate named to coaches association All-Boardwalk at Farmingdale State.
Bayport’s Christy Thoden, a freshman midfield on the Farmingdale State Rams girls lacrosse team, is one of 224 student-athletes in Division III named to the All-Regional team for 2012 by the IWLCA.
Thoden is one of three Rams selected to the All-Boardwalk Teams, including senior goalkeeper Courtney Cook (Deer Park) and senior attack Krystin Shand (Massapequa Park).
Thoden, the team’s rookie starting center and a First Team All-Skyline selection, broke seven single-season school records and holds four career records already.

She finished the year scoring 39 goals and 11 assists for 50 points, while leading the team with single-season records of 64 ground balls, 119 draw controls, seven game-winning goals and 40 caused turnovers. She ranks 1st All-Time for ground balls per game (4.27), Draw controls per game (7.93), CT's per game (2.67) and Game-winning goals (7).
Thoden is majoring in nursing at the college and is a 2011 Bayport-Blue Point High School graduate. During high school she was named All-County and All-League. Christy was an All-Tournament Unsung Here award winner as well.
