Sayville Storm Wins Championship
The team won the spring championship for the 12U North Division.
On Sunday May 22, the Sayville Storm travel baseball team won the spring championship for the 12U North Division at Baseball Heaven in Yaphank.
Led by Head Coach, Sal Zafonte along with assistant coaches Artie Mattia, Bob Solak and Frank Virno, the team really proved that hard work and determination can bring a team to the top.
Entering the championship series in fifth place, the Storm were able to win their games on Friday night against the third place team and Saturday afternoon against the first place team to move into the Championship game on Sunday.
