Phantoms Scoreboard: Baseball Rallies To Make Playoffs

Week of May 14-May 20.

Baseball: A pair of victories over Hampton Bays this week nudged the Phantoms past the 10-win threshold and into the Section XI playoffs, as they finished 10-8 in League VII. Jack Piekos led the way offensively in the team's last game, going 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.

Softball: After breaking a four-way tie for first by on Monday, the team fell 4-1 to Mt. Sinai on Thursday afternoon. The loss tied them with Mt. Sinai for the top spot in League VII at 14-3. However, since two of the team's three losses have come at the hands of Mt. Sinai, they lost the tiebreaker and are in second place.

Boys Lacrosse: The boys lacrosse team lost a back-and-forth affair to Eastport-South Manor in their final regular season game Saturday, 11-10 in overtime. After trailing 7-2 at halftime, the Phantoms stormed back and forced extra time, but Ryan Curley's goal won it for the Sharks shortly there after. They will await the winner of John Glenn and Mt.
