Fourth-Quarter Rally Falls Short For Phantoms
In Thursday football action, Bayport-Blue Point's 19-point fourth quarter is not enough to overcome an early deficit, as the Phantoms lose 43 – 27 to Babylon.
After a first half that saw Bayport outscored 29 – 8, there was little reason to suspect that the Phantoms would make a game of it against Division IV rival Babylon. But someone forgot to tell Bayport quarterback Bailey Imbo.
The junior threw three fourth-quarter touchdowns (of 60, 11 and 4 yards) as Bayport got to within nine with, 36 – 27. But in the end, it was too much of a mountain to climb.
Imbo threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He also was picked off four times. Imbo’s favorite receiver was Connor White, who amassed 207 yards and two touchdowns.
