Free “Learn to Run / Learn to Walk” Fitness Clinic

on Monday, June 13th  from 7pm to 8:30pm in Sayville

 

For anyone who wants to start a fitness walking or beginner running program, a free Run/Walk clinic is being offered in Sayville to help get you started.  The program will be led by Kiersten Bartolotta, a certified running coach and owner of Walk To Run Fitness.

 

The clinic will start at Sayville Running Company at 49 Main Street and move to the streets of Sayville for an hour long workout.  The clinic will accommodate both beginner walkers and runners by breaking up the participants into two workout groups.  Those interested in learning how to start a fitness walking program will do timed intervals of fast and slow walking.  Those interested in starting a running program will do timed intervals of running and walking. 

 

Essential instruction on warming up, cooling down, pacing, heart rate training, and specific stretching exercises will also be addressed.  Attendees should wear sneakers and work out attire as well as bring water.
