B-BP Kids Can Join First-Ever Indoor Baseball League

Bayport resident-owned All Pro Sports Academy in Bellport has created a program for Bayport-Blue Point's youngest athletes.

Bayport-Blue Point kids ages five through eight have the opportunity to become part of Long Island's only indoor baseball league for the early winter season at All Pro Sports Academy in Bellport.

Indoor sports clinics and camps were the norm at the academy, but when Bayport resident and All Pro Sports owner Scott June's child, a student at Academy Street Elementary School, said he wanted to begin playing the sport, June ran with the idea.

"Having a 5-year-old son who wanted to play baseball, I thought to start an indoor T-ball league," June said.

Participants of All Pro's first-ever indoor baseball league can learn the “FUN”damentals of baseball on the 90'x90'. The program is also the first and only league of its kind on Long Island, according to the program flyer.

The league will consist of 10-15 minutes working on the “fun”damentals of the game followed by a head-to-head game on the field, said June. T- ball teams will be played in 8 vs. 8 format with a revolving batting order. Coaches Pitch (6 vs. 6) games will be full infield with a pitcher and catcher. Teams will have up to eight players with a revolving order.
