Sayville's Parlor House Grill Offers Something for Every Taste

Newest restaurant boasts spacious bar and the familiar dining room fireplace.

To say Billy Delimitros knows his way around a restaurant kitchen would be an extreme understatement. The Medford resident spent nearly 40 years running the kitchen at the South Shore Restaurant in Medford and now is top chef at his own place, the Parlor House Grill in Sayville.

Delimitros and his wife, Nina, opened up the American Continental cuisine eatery the first week of October, and it’s been busy since the first day.

One reason is the menu, which offers something for everyone’s palate, from steak and chicken to seafood and salads.

Another reason is the entrée price point – few things if any are over $20 and there’s a lunch special of $9.95 every day.

Then there’s the spacious welcoming bar with plenty of seating, televisions and comforting lighting that puts the happy in happy hour--which runs weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 pm. and from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m on weekends.

On Saturdays and Sundays the breakfast menu is drawing a crowd (Parlor also serves breakfast during the week as well).

“I am so grateful and thankful for all the support we’ve seen in the past month. We’ve had people coming in from all over, and we are getting to meet many new nice people in town,” the chef told Patch during a recent visit.

Right now the popular items are the half-pound hamburgers, noted Delimitros, and the steak entrees.

The chef, who gets some help in the kitchen form his sons in the evening, says Parlor House Grill is perfect for small parties and corporate functions given its nice-sized, yet cozy, dining room that features the same fireplace the location has boasted for decades. There’s also plenty of dining area in the bar area as well. Most diners will meet Dina before Billy as she serves as the main hostess.

“We are very proud to be part of Sayville and very happy to help out when we can. We want to support the community the way they are supporting us,” said Delimitros.
