Young Savyille Students Honor Vets in Their Own Special Way

Lincoln Avenue Elementary express their thanks to military personnel with a special gesture.

As Veterans Day approached, Mrs. Jen Order’s second graders from Lincoln Avenue Elementary school in the Sayville School District wanted to do something to show their appreciation for veterans.

“Each child worked diligently,” Order explained, “to create ‘thank you’ cards, for our veterans, with their hand written sentiments.”

Sample statements from the students included Madeline Gibbons words, “It must have been so hard to leave your family.” Evyn O’Donnell stated in his card, “I am a fan of you and want to be in the Air Force someday.”  Erin Marshall thanked the veterans for protecting America and making it a better place. “God Bless You!” wrote Natalie Jones, in her colorful card.

The students were also very excited that their cards would be hand-delivered by Robert Barone, a Marine veteran (and Mrs. Order’s dad), to the Northport Veteran’s Hospital.

It's a drive-through bank.

I heard it was a bank some time ago, but I can't imagine which bank would run a construction projectRead More so poorly.
