Whiz Kids: Suffolk County School Superintendents Association Honors Two B-BP Seniors

Patch Whiz Kid: Brandon O’Brien

School: Graduating senior,

Accomplishment: Class of 2011 Valedictorian Brandon O’Brien who will be attending Cornell University and majoring in Natural Resources.

Key to awesomeness: The Suffolk County School Superintendents Association (SCSSA) hosted its 17th Annual Valedictorians Luncheon to recognize Suffolk County’s highest achieving students from the Class of 2011. Board of Education members, school superintendents and administrators gathered to honor more than 60 valedictorians and their parents, included in this prestigious group was Bayport-Blue Point Class of 2011 Valedictorian, Brandon O’Brien, who will be attending Cornell University and majoring in Natural Resources.

Patch Whiz Kid: Nicole Dice

School: Graduating senior,

Accomplishment:  Granted $500 scholarship by SCSSA.

Key to awesomeness: In addition to the valedictorians receiving a framed certificate of achievement, the Association and its corporate partners also awarded ten $500 scholarships to graduates planning to pursue a career in education or social services. Bayport-Blue Point senior Nicole Dice received a scholarship from the SCSSA.

SCSSA President and Bayport-Blue Point School District Superintendent Dr. Anthony Annunziato congratulated the seniors on achieving such a distinguished level of success.
