Two Sayville Art Students Win Scholarships

Eight district AP Art seniors participated in Nita Elder Student Scholarship Exhibit.

Eight Sayville AP Art Seniors in Evan Hammer’s AP Studio Art class participated in 25th Nita Elder Student Scholarship Exhibit South Bay Art Association and two claimed scholarship prizes and awards.

Sayville’s two top winners were Lorelei Olk, who won over $1,000 scholarship money including the Women-Sharing-Art Award and Anna Corso, who won the $50 scholarship. Congratulations to the winners, and kudos to Sayville students Kaleigh Acevedo, Samantha Bishop, Jackie Christensen, Pam Haas, Meagan Mulry, and Rachel Wachter who also participated. Each participant was required to submit three works to the exhibit.
