Bayport-Blue Point will be looking for a new school chief and Patch wants to know what matters most to parents and taxpayers.

Just five years after hiring a new superintendent, Bayport-Blue Point will once again be on the hunt for a new school chief.

Last time around the BOE held a series of community meetings asking residents what specific qualities they wanted in the chosen candidate.

Patch offers up that same question now to readers. Take our poll and comment below.

Wanted: Small, beautiful LI seaside community with bright, relatively well behaved children and involved parents seek experienced people person educator to run our school district. You won't become rich, but you'll enjoy your life. Type A personalities need not apply.

Also let us not forget that our exiting superintendent and assistant superintendent will both be taking with them the " POSTPONED" raise from the last budget. All the other employee contracts that were negotiated at that time were asked to take pay freezes but the superintendents were "saving us money" by waiting to take their raises that year until they left the district. Time for us to pay up! Will the board list that in the budget as exit bonus? Boy , don't we feel like suckers!!!!
