UPDATE: 2 Days Left to Vote for Sayville Songstress in Talent Competition

Kayla Stockert hopes to win individual vocalist in MSG Talent Show and needs your votes.

Local residents and fans have two days left to vote for Sayville teen singer Kayla Stockert who is in the final round of competition in the MSG Varsity Talent Show in the individualist vocalist category.

The high school freshman is competing in the weekly series on Cablevision’s Channel 14 featuring the most talented high school acts in the tri-state area. Audience members cast their votes online for their favorite talent in each category with the top performers advancing to the next round.

Initially there were 32 vocalists in contention. Stockert is now one of final four.

“It makes me feel so amazing to have the support of so many people.  I am so happy to represent Sayville High School and happy knowing that people know what I'm all about now,” she told Patch in an email.

Online voting runs through May 31 at 9 a.m. Fans can vote, at this site, as many times as they’d like. Winners in each category will be crowned on Sunday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m.

“I love to sing and perform its who I am! I am also happy that people can also see I don't just sing 50's music, I love everything and have originals I'm working on! Thank you, thank you, thank you and please vote,” said Stockert.
