Sayville Idol Set for Thursday is Postponed
The Middle School is hosting this fundraising event.
Update: Due to the inclement weather, the Sayville Music Idol rehearsals and Sayville Idol Semifinals set for Jan. 13 have been postponed and will be rescheduled soon.
Idol is back – you can seelive at the Middle School on Jan. 13. The Sayville Music Boosters for the Arts (SMBA) sponsors this program, which is a scholarship fundraiser for talented students in the Sayville district.
This Thursday’s performance is the semifinal round, which will feature 40 student performers from grades 5-8. Twenty students will move on to compete in the Sayville Music Idol Finals on March 10.

Tickets to the event at $10 and are available at the door at the, located on Lincoln Avenue.
Last year, distributed over $16,000 in scholarships to Sayville district students with special talent in art, music, drama, dance and writing. The local Idol concept is the brainchild of Music Idol Entertainment and is a full professional production with lights, camera, action, and of course, independent judges. Sponsors include SSLI Recording Studios, WBLI, Five Towns College, IDJ Now, Cactus Salon, Atlantis Marine World and Selden Batting.
