Sayville Hosts Coaches Vs. Cancer Event
Three game tournament benefits the American Cancer Society.
On Dec. 23, the Savyille Basketball Teams held a Coaches Vs. Cancer fundraiser at the Sayville High School.
All proceeds from the event were donated to the American Cancer Society. Last year, the teams raised more than $3,200 for the organization. This year the goal was $3,000.
A suggested $1 donation for admission was just one of the fundraising options, which also included a 50/50 raffle, concession donated by families of the teams and raffles.

The three games started with the Sayville Varsity Girls hosting Bayport (Sayville won 34-28) followed by Sayville Junior Varsity Boys against Mercy High School and ending with Sayville Varsity Boys against Mercy High School.
