Q: What is your favorite memory of your years at Sayville High School?

A: I have so many good memories. This past year, I have great memories of my time in the music program and with the golf team. That was really special. There are also so many times with friends outside of school too.

Q: Why is Sayville such a great school district?

A: There are so many wonderful teachers. The teachers have been so kind and giving of their time. This is a great community and the school has great teachers.

Q: What is your favorite subject and why?

A: I enjoyed physics and I loved calculus. Mrs. Bernstein calculus teacher was great.

Q: Are there any stand-out teachers who've particularly influenced you along the way?

A: Mrs. Bernstein and my guidance counselor Mr. Dillon, who was also my golf coach. He is such a great person and very influential in my life.

Q: How did you strike a balance between studying hard and having a social life?

A: The more I do, the more efficient I am with my time. I enjoy being active in everything. I enjoy everything I am doing so I never feel the burden of expectations.

Q: What advice do you have for students going into Sayville's senior class this coming fall?

A:  My advice for seniors would be to keep a full schedule and to have no regrets. It goes by so fast so enjoy every moment.

Q: What advice do you have for the freshmen entering Sayville High School in the fall?

A:  I would suggest not being so focused on the future. Enjoy everything going on and don't do things just to have them on your resume.  Do things that you truly have a passion for.

Best of luck to Julie. Look for our continuing graduation coverage tomorrow.
