No Challengers in Sayville BOE, Library Board Races

Longtime incumbent trustees are seeking re-election uncontested.

It'll be a quiet school and library board election season in Sayville as just the two school BOE incumbents are running, and just one newcomer is seeking to win a library board seat being vacated by an incumbent.

Two longtime school board trustees, Norman deVenau and Maureen Dolan, face no competition this year.

deVenau was initially elected in May, 2003 to finish a term left vacant by a board member who resigned. He was re-elected in 2004 and has served three full terms.

Dolan was first elected in 1995 and has served six terms.

Marianne Bastian is running for a seat on the Sayville Public Library Board currently held by trustee Mary Lou Centeri. Centeri is not seeking re-election.
