Photos: "Raising Awareness" and School Spirit

Bayport-Blue Point High School students built floats championing certain causes in line with 2011 Homecoming "raising awareness" theme.

The homecoming theme for 2011 was "Raising Awareness." Each class picked a cause to depict on its float.

"Autism Speaks" was the chosen cause for the senior class of 2012. The junior class, who were the overall winners of the float contest and homecoming overall, picked "Save the Rainforest." Underclassmen sophomores decided to build their float to honor the "Make-a-Wish Foundation," while the freshman chose to depict the important of saving endangered species.

At halftime, senior Mackenzie Miller was announced Homecoming Queen and was able to claim her throne with Harrison DeSouza as her king.
