Phantoms Football Wins Big at Homecoming

Phantoms dominate Southampton Mariners at the homecoming game Saturday afternoon making it their first win of the season.

Phantom pride was at its highest Saturday afternoon as the Phantoms pushed their weight around in the homecoming game against the Southampton Mariners, garnering a (60-6) win, their first of the season.

The Phantoms controlled the first half, despite a few flags thrown and missed field goals, managing to sneak six touchdowns past the Mariners. The score was 40-6 going into halftime.

The second half wasn't much different. The Phantoms kept the Mariners from scoring again, while punching out three more touchdowns to make the final score 60-0.

Josh Shaw was the star of the game, getting the ball into the end zone twice, once with a 75 yard run.

With a record of 1-5, the Phantoms will travel to rival John Glenn on Oct. 22 at 2 p.m.
