Language of Victorian Flowers and Tussie Mussie Workshop

Tussie Mussies were known as the “talking bouquets” of the Victorian
era – small bouquets of flowers in which each flower’s symbolism
conveyed a hidden message to the recipient. Join artist Phyllis Chan Carr as she briefly explains the history of flowers during the Victorian era and then guides you in making your own tussie mussie. Please bring small garden shears and a pair of scissors to class. Fee: $8 check or money order only, payable to Sayville Library
