"Fire Island Raptors" presented by Gertrude R. Battaly and Drew Panko

Thursday, September, 16, 2010 The Great South Bay Audubon Society will meet at 7:30PM  for their General meeting.  The program will be "Fire Island Raptors" presented by Gertrude R. Battaly and Drew Panko. Discussion will center on the Fire Island Raptor Enumerators who have been documenting the fall passage of raptors along the barrier beach since 1983. Emphasis will be given to the falcons, (Peregrines, Merlins, and Kestrels) those exciting raptors that are unique along the barrier beach. 
     
   Meetings are held at Connetquot State Park and Preserve, Sunrise Highway, Oakdale. All meetings are free to the public. No parking fee, bring a friend to enjoy the program and refreshments. For information call 631 563 7716 or visit our web site at www.gsbas.org
