District Investigating Break-In at Bayport Middle School Storage Facility

Three high school students caught by police but no arrests made.

The Bayport-Blue Point School District is investigating a break-in at a storage facility behind the James Wilson Young Middle School that occurred on Saturday.

According to the district, school officials were notified by Suffolk police Saturday afternoon that three high school students had attempted to break into the facility location on the back fields of the school.

School administrators said there was damage to the lock but no property was stolen. No charges have been filed.

"The district will conduct an internal investigation beginning  Monday and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken with the parties involved," stated the district in an email to Patch.
