While Sayville was one of only three schools in Suffolk County to hold a tournament last year, this year there is a countywide push for the Suffolk County Girls' Basketball association to raise $50,000.

"The event was a huge success last year," commented Coach DePompeo. "We are hoping for the same this year."

Sayville's goal this year is $3,000. All proceeds from the Sayville game will go to the American Cancer Society in the name of all four schools participating in the Sayville tournament.

ZapMyTax.com, the website of the Property Assessment Correction Group (PACG), donated $200 to the event - $100 in gift cards and a $100 check to the American Cancer Society. The website was created to educate Suffolk County residents about the Tax Grievance process, let them see actual tax savings in their neighborhoods and file a tax grievance.

To raise money, there will be door donations, 50-50 raffles, individual game raffles, concession sales and more.
