Blue Point HS Senior Wins Prestigous Summer Scholarship

Blue Point resident Mike William is the recipient of a scholarship to study and perform at the Usdan Center for the Creative and Performing Arts this summer.

The program, created by Usdan and Bethpage Federal Credit Union, gives accomplished student musicians the opportunity to study at the award-winning camp at no cost. Williams is a singer and Bayport-Blue Point High School senior, and was formally presented with his award at a reception on June 12 at the Usdan Center. He is one of five talented Long Island winners of the Usdan/Bethpage Federal Credit Union scholarship program. Williams, pictured with the Bethpage Patchogue branch manager, Shawn Lockwood, accepted his award at a June 12 reception at the Usdan woodland campus.
