Blue Point Elementary's Chris Ball is a Sharpshooter

After winning his school’s tournament, Blue Point Elementary School fourth grader Chris Ball qualified to compete in this year’s Town of Islip Sharpshooter Challenge.

During the event, Chris was given one minute to score as many baskets as possible from various spots on the floor. Competing against more than 50 students from the town, Chris placed second in this year’s contest and received a trophy.

Thousands of students from across Long Island participate in this event each year. The winners of the school contests represent their building at the town-level championship.
