BBP District Clerk Resignation on Tonight's Workshop Agenda

The Bayport-Blue Point School Board of Education will also announce a scholarship winner and a donation to an African charity organization.

The Bayport-Blue Point School Board of Education workshop meeting tonight features a slew of personnel appointments and changes, including the resignation of district clerk Gabrielle Skolom, an early retirement agreement for teachers and what appears to be a contractual memorandum of agreement with the district’s collective bargaining unit for the Administrator’s Association.

The agenda for the meeting, which will start at 7 p.m. at the high school cafeteria, also includes approving a one-time donation of supplies for Kollecting for Kenya including 39 cases of paper, five boxes of #3 pencils, 15 boxes of chalk and chalkboard erasers, four boxes of Houghton Mifflin Expeditions Reading texts and workbooks for grade 5, and 46 U.S. History books.

The BOE will also present a scholarship to a district student.

Patch has reached out to district officials for more information on the personnel memorandas cited on the agenda and will update this story later today.
