BBP Administrator Takes Job at Hauppauge
Glen Eschbach is leaving Bayport-Blue Point for new role as assistant superintendent for curriculum, instruction and technology.
Bayport-Blue Point School District will be searching for a superintendent as well as a new assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction as Glen Eschbach is taking a new job in the Hauppauge School District.
Eschbach is taking over for Kyrie Siegel, the current assistant superintendent of curriculum, instruction and technology.
According to Hauppauge Superintendent Patricia Sullivan-Kriss the school district advertised the job opening in The New York Times and received 80 applications.

"There are a lot of professionals out there interested in becoming part of our staff and working with us as we continue to move our program forward," Sullivan-Kriss said.
Eschbach has served as the assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction at Bayport-Bluepoint School District for five years. He has previously worked as a building pricipal for five years, and assistant principal for three years for total of 13 years experience in school administration. Eschbach was also a special education teacher.

"He has had personal experience with a lot of things we are currently involved in: the common core, use of student date. and how to move that forward. The list is endless," Sullivan-Kriss said.
Hauppauge school district will pay Eschbach a salary of $170,000 annually as of July 1, according to a personnel action report. He will be paid $10,000 per year more than Siegel, whose contractual salary is $160,000 for the 2011-12 school year as per contract signed June 21, 2011 on the district's website.
