Bayport-Blue Point Young Peer Leaders Spread Holiday Cheer
Academy Street students made holiday cards for a local nursing home.
Fifth-grade Peer Leaders at Academy Street Elementary School in the Bayport-Blue Point School District helped to make the holiday season a cheerful one by crafting more than 30 handmade cards for a local nursing home during their monthly meeting.
Tapping into their creativity, the students drew an assortment of holiday scenes and penned messages of warm wishes in hopes that the recipients would enjoy a brighter holiday season. The package of cards was delivered by club adviser Nicole Greco just before the holiday break.
