Bayport-Blue Point Middle Schoolers Learn Life Lessons
Annual Frost Valley trip is more than just outdoor activity.
James Wilson Young Middle School eighth-grade students experienced
hands-on lessons on teamwork and cooperation this fall when they took part in the school’s annual trip to the YMCA outdoor educational camp, Frost Valley.
During the four-day trip, the students participated in a number of outdoor activities, including climbing a rock wall, Project Adventure, a low rope training course, hiking, canoeing, Native American art and games, and exploring nature at the pond and in the surrounding wooded areas.
