Bayport-Blue Point Middle Schoolers Help Make Wishes Come True

Toy drive benefited Toys for Tots, Make-a-Wish Foundation.

James Wilson Young Middle School students and staff members helped grant holiday wishes for many Long Islanders in need this winter when they collected hundreds of new toys during a school-wide collection drive. The community service project, which was coordinated by the National Junior Honor Society and the eighth-grade class council, ran for a week and a half.

Students and staff members generously donated throughout the drive, as well as during the seventh- and eighth-grade dance and sixth-grade movie night. The hundreds of toys collected were donated to Toys for Tots and the Make-A-Wish Foundation just before the holiday break.
