Bayport-Blue Point District Seeks Input on Elementary Strategy

Those interested in participating must submit the needed form by Wednesday.

The Bayport-Blue Point School District is inviting residents to participate in a workshop focused on evolving the district elementary program to meet goals, parent desires and new state standards.

The priority workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 9 at 6:45 p.m. in the cafeteria of the high school. Those interested in participating are asked to complete a form on the district's website by this Wednesday, September 25.  Only those completing the form will be given an active role in the workshop. Residents are encouraged to attend and observe the workshop but space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The workshop follows a multi-month review of the educational outcomes data within the district's elementary program. This effort was conducted by Superintendent of School Dr. Vincent Butera. The report focused on instruction data but also constructive input from a cross section of teachers administrators and parents.
