Bayport-Blue Point Student-Athletes Sign Letters of Intent
Lacrosse players Brian White and John Zinno commit to college lacrosse teams.
senior athletes Brian White and John Zinno recently signed letters of intent to play college lacrosse at Dowling College and Florida Southern College, respectively, in the fall.
John, a midfielder, was a member of the 2011 Suffolk County, Long Island and Down State Championship teams. He was joined at the signing by his parents Anna and John.
“I’m looking forward to playing for Florida Southern,” he said. “It’s a wonderful opportunity, and hopefully I’ll experience the same connections with my college teammates that I had with my high school teammates. This was a very special team.”

Brian, an attackman with two All-County titles who has led his team in goal scoring, was joined by his parents Rich and Christine. “It is a real honor,” Brian said of his acceptance to Dowling.
Also joining the seniors during the signing at Bayport-Blue Point High School were , Principal Dr. Tim Hearney and Director of Athletics Timothy Mullins.
